Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Quietbill, a tool that lets your customers download invoices for their Stripe payments. By creating an account or paying the one-time price, you agree to them.
Who we are
Quietbill (“Quietbill”, “we”) operates this service. Contact: [email protected].
The service
Quietbill lets you connect a read-only Stripe restricted key, share a portal link, and let your customers find their payments, add billing details, and download a numbered PDF invoice. Setup is free. Sharing the portal with customers requires a one-time payment at the price shown on the site.
Quietbill is not affiliated with Stripe, Inc. Stripe is a separate service with its own terms.
Your account
- You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password secret.
- You may only connect Stripe accounts you are authorized to use.
- You create a restricted key with read permissions. You are responsible for the key’s scope and for revoking it in Stripe if you stop using Quietbill.
- You must not try to access other merchants’ data, probe the service, or overload it.
Invoices and tax
Quietbill copies amounts, dates, line items, discounts and tax from Stripe and lets your customers edit who an invoice is addressed to. You are the seller on those invoices. You are responsible for whether they meet the tax, VAT, and bookkeeping rules that apply to you. Quietbill does not give legal, tax, or accounting advice. Some countries expect corrections through credit notes rather than edited invoices; review that with your accountant.
Payment for Quietbill
The one-time price is charged by Stripe Checkout in our name. Payment is handled by Stripe. Refunds are described in the Refund Policy: a full refund within 30 days of purchase if Quietbill is not quieter for you.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Quietbill running, and we may change or discontinue features. We will try not to break issued invoice numbers or stored billing details. The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that invoices will be accepted by a particular tax authority.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quietbill is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages, or for tax penalties, Stripe fees, or disputes with your customers. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Quietbill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where that cannot be limited.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
