quietbill

For founders who sell with Stripe

Never write another invoice by hand.

Quietbill gives your customers one link to find their Stripe payment, add their company and VAT number, and download a proper PDF invoice. No Stripe invoice fee (0.4%, capped at $2). No more “can I get an invoice?” emails.

Free to set up · $49 once to go live · No code

  • Works with past payments
  • Read-only Stripe key
  • Checkout, Payment Links & subscriptions

Sound familiar?

You started a company, not an invoicing department.

Every B2B customer needs an invoice for their accountant. Stripe’s receipt doesn’t have their company name, their VAT number, or the right address. So they email you, you open a PDF editor, and ten minutes of your day disappear.

Then it happens again tomorrow.

invoice pls 🙏

Need it for my expense report by Friday, thanks so much!

The other option

On Checkout, the invoice fee stops at $2.

A post-payment invoice for a Checkout or Payment Link purchase costs 0.4% of that payment, and never more than $2. The fee repeats on every invoice. Customers still can’t add a VAT number after they’ve paid.

$1,000

$10,000 a month

0.4% of $1,000 is $4, so the $2 cap applies.

Pays for itself in about 75 days.

One-time Checkout and Payment Link invoices: 0.4% of the payment, capped at $2 each. Subscription invoices are billed with Stripe Billing. Stripe pricing.

How it works

One minute to set up. Quiet forever after.

  1. 1

    Paste a read-only Stripe key

Create a restricted key that can only read payments. Quietbill can never charge, refund or change anything.

  2. 2

    Share one link

Drop your invoice link into your receipt email, welcome email, docs and site footer. Then forget about it.

  3. 3

    Customers serve themselves

They confirm their email, pick a payment, add their billing details and download a numbered PDF invoice.

Built for trust

Customers fix their details. Never your numbers.

Amounts, dates, line items, discounts and tax come straight from Stripe and are locked. Customers can only change who the invoice is addressed to, and only for payments made with an email they’ve verified.

Your customer can

  • Add a company name
  • Add a VAT or tax ID
  • Fix their address or a typo
  • Download it again, any time

Your customer can’t

  • Change an amount or date
  • Edit line items or tax
  • See anyone else’s payments
  • Invoice a refunded payment

Everything included

The boring parts, done properly.

Past payments too

Every successful charge on your account, from day one. Not just the ones after you sign up.

Checkout, Payment Links, subscriptions

Line items, discounts and tax are pulled from Stripe automatically. Nothing to map.

Sequential invoice numbers

ACME-0001, ACME-0002… One number per payment, never reused, with your own prefix.

Tax-season export

Pick a date range and get a ZIP of every PDF plus a CSV ledger your accountant can import.

All your Stripe accounts

Run more than one product? Connect them all. One link covers every account.

Read-only by design

Restricted keys with read permissions only, encrypted at rest. Revoke access in Stripe whenever you like.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need Stripe Invoicing turned on?

No. Quietbill reads your successful payments directly, so you can leave Stripe’s post-payment invoices off. On Checkout and Payment Links that fee is 0.4% of the payment, capped at $2.

Does it work for payments made before I signed up?

Yes. Any successful charge on a connected account can be invoiced, including ones from years ago.

Is my Stripe account safe?

You create a restricted key with read access to Charges, Customers, Checkout Sessions, Invoices and PaymentIntents. It can’t create charges, issue refunds or change settings. Keys are encrypted at rest and you can revoke them in Stripe any time.

Can customers see other people’s invoices?

No. Customers get a magic link at the email address they type, and they only see payments Stripe has on record for that address.

Can customers change the amount?

No. Amounts, dates, line items, discounts and tax come from Stripe and are locked when the invoice is issued. Customers can only edit their name, company, address and tax ID.

Are the invoices EU-compliant?

Invoices include sequential numbers, issue and payment dates, your business details and tax ID, the customer’s VAT ID, and a tax breakdown when Stripe collected tax. Rules differ by country, so check the details with your accountant.

I use Lemon Squeezy, Paddle or Gumroad.

Quietbill is for Stripe only. Merchant-of-record platforms already issue invoices on your behalf.

Why a one-time price?

Because it’s a small tool that does one job. Reading your payments costs us very little, so we don’t need to bill you every month.
